Tobacco in all forms is prohibited in or on all Goddard School District property following BOE adoption of a Tobacco-Free Campus Policy. Policy GOAC was adopted June 26, 1997. The tobacco-free campus policy includes parking lots, vehicles, all school facilities and buildings. The policy includes both indoor and outdoor school-sponsored events. Goddard School District appreciates your cooperation in enforcing this policy.
Use of Tobacco Products in or on School District Property
District property is to be tobacco-free. The board believes that a tobacco-free policy is important in establishing an appropriate learning and working environment for students, teachers and the public. The use, tobacco products in any form, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited at all times in or on all district real (including parking lots) or personal property (including vehicles) whether owned, leased or rented, or at any school-sponsored event.
Any student who violates the terms of this or any other tobacco policy shall be subject to the following disciplinary action:
Any student who violates the terms of this or any other tobacco policy shall be subject to the above discipline in accordance with district policy and Kansas law (K.S.A. 79-3321:3322). Nothing in this policy is intended to diminish the right of the district to take any other disciplinary action which is provided for in Kansas law or district policies.
