Cheerleading Tryouts

March 1 - March 3 @ EMS
ATTENTION ALL SEVENTH GRADERS
There will be a mandatory informational meeting on Friday, February 4, 2011, at 7:40 a.m. in the commons for anyone interested in trying out for the 2011-2012 fall AND/OR winter cheerleading squads.

Candidates will be allowed to choose the season(s) in which they prefer to cheer. All candidates chosen will be eligible to attend camp with the squad during the summer.

All candidates will be judged on jumps, a cheer, and a chant which will be taught during the tryout clinic. More detailed information will be provided at the informational meeting.

Cheerleading Tryouts

There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 16 at 7:40 a.m., at Eisenhower Middle School for anyone interested in trying out for the 2011-2012 cheerleading squads.
JUNIOR VARSITY CHEERLEADING for GHS/EHS
Clinic – Monday, March 14, 3:00 – 5:00 @ Goddard Middle School Gym
Tryout – Tuesday, March 15, 3:00 - ? @ Goddard Middle School Gym

Candidates will tryout at stations and perform three jumps, sidelines, and a band dance (taught by the senior cheerleaders). Male candidates will be required to stunt in place of the girl’s band dance.

Tumbling is optional and results in bonus points based on skill level of tumbling performed. Tumbling skills will be performed for the GHS cheer coaches prior to tryouts.

Transportation will be provided to Goddard Middle School for all Eisenhower Middle School students.

All candidates should wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Hair should be pulled up away from the face. ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY IS ALLOWED!

Eisenhower Middle School 2011 Yearbooks are now on sale for $25. There are a limited number of books available, so please bring your check, payable to EMS, as soon as possible. Don’t miss out on the memories!

Hey USD 265! Do you have a great picture of an EMS student, sports event, or other school related activity? Would you like to see your picture in the 2011 EMS yearbook? Well, now you can through the internet. The yearbook staff would like to invite students and parents to submit your photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or even students and their friends having fun, we’d like to see them.

Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have through Josten’s new program called Imageshare, which allows the general public to submit digital pictures online for possible inclusion in the yearbook. Stuco members will host the middle school Stuco dance on February 4. Dances this time of year are always fun!

We are working on the production of a school wide talent show as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Recycling continues each Friday morning.
