The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) welcomes you to our Amelia Earhart family. Following is your guide to PTO, school activities, volunteer opportunities, fundraising and general information. (Click here to download the Earhart PTO Summary Packet.)
Who are we?
PTO includes all parents and staff of Amelia Earhart. The PTO Board is made up of eight people (President, Fundraising VPs, Volunteers VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Principal and Teacher Representative) who administrate and organize the approved activities and budget.
Our purpose:
Enhance the educational experience of all of our students, provide teacher and classroom support and coordinate community-building activities. Following is a brief description of various school and PTO sponsored activities as well as volunteer opportunities for parents. We hope this helps answer any questions you might have. Please feel free to contact us about any questions or suggestions
TREASURE CHEST PRIZES NEEDED
The Earhart students are participating in a reward program by earning tickets. The tickets are used to shop for items in the "STAR STORE". Any donations for our treasure chest is greatly appreciated (fast food toys, novelty items, books, necklaces, hot wheelsÖ). The kids love our treasure chest!
Yearbook Photos Requested
If you have pictures for our yearbook please email to mhaist@goddardusd.com Your help is appreciated.
We meet on the first Friday morning of each month, with exceptions for two scheduled evening meetings. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend and participate in PTO meetings.
Upcoming Meetings |
March 5 - 9:30 am
April 9 - 9:30 am
May 7 - 9:30 am |
PTO hosts the school skating parties for our school. However, PTO, Carousel Skate Center, nor the school is responsible for supervising your child at Carousel Skate Center. Your child is your responsibility if your child attends the FAMILY Skating Parties. If you are not able to attend, your child must be with another family willing to accept responsibility for your child.
NO CHILD IS TO BE DROPPED OFF AND LEFT
AT THE SKATE CENTER WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION
PTO and their families are there to have fun and enjoy their family time together. Please plan on joining the fun. Bring your children . . . STAY . . . Visit . . . Skate . . . Laugh . . . . It is Carousel Skate Center’s right, and it is their practice, to call the police if a child is left unsupervised at the end of a skating party. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping to keep our children safe.

BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION & TYSON PROJECT A+ LABELS
Counting is underway to determine the winners from our first contest. There will be a Gold, Silver & Bronze winner. Each of these classes will receive a reward party and the Gold Medal Class will also receive the traveling Boxtop Superstars trophy.
Please be sure to go to www.boxtops4education.com & check out other ways you can help our school. They have monthly drawings for extra boxtops to go in our account and you can check out The Marketplace where you can shop from many stores online & a percentage comes back to our school. Companies like Lands End, Sears, Penneyís, Oriental Trading, Old Navy just to name a few!
Our next contest ends on December 16th so keep sending in your Boxtops & Tyson Project A+ labels, every little bit helps! Each boxtop is worth 10 cents & Tyson labels are 24 cents. Last year we collected almost $2000!!! So donít throw free money in the trash - send them to school
Our contest dates are:
DECEMBER 16TH
FEBRUARY 19TH
MAY 14TH
Please make sure you leave dates on box tops when cutting or tearing them off. They must be intact & not expired for them to count. The Tyson A+ labels are the entire tear off strip for bags & end flap from box items (only ones that say Project A+). You may also send in Campbell soup labels (the UPC & Logo on back). These do not count in your class totals because our school does not save these at this time, but other Goddard schools do, so we share with them. Please check out the websites for these companies for lots of other saving & contest opportunities. Contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting Box Tops for Education, it's free money that otherwise ends up in the trashcan!!!
