Eisenhower Middle School 2010-2011 Cheerleading Tryouts

ATTENTION ALL  SEVENTH GRADERS:
There will be a mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, February 12, 2010, during homeroom in the Library for anyone interested in trying out for the 2010-2011 fall OR winter cheerleading squads.

Candidates will be allowed to choose the season(s) in which they prefer to cheer. All candidates chosen will be eligible to attend camp with the squad during the summer. 

All candidates will be judged on both a cheer and a dance. If you would like a copy of the music to use for practice, please return a CD with your name on it along with your completed paperwork to Mrs. Raleigh no later than February 22.

Please bring a pen or pencil to the meeting!


Goddard High School 2010-2011 Cheerleading Tryouts
There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, February 18 at 7:40 a.m., at Eisenhower Middle School for anyone interested in trying out for the 2010-2011 cheerleading squads.

FRESHMAN & JUNIOR VARSITY CHEERLEADING
(Freshman – Up to 10 members, grade 9) 
(Junior Varsity – Up to 14 female members and 4 male members, grades 9 – 11)

Clinic – Monday, March 8, 3:00 – 5:00 @ Eisenhower Middle School Gym
Tryout – Tuesday, March 9, 3:00 - ? @ Eisenhower Middle School Gym

Candidates will tryout at stations and perform three jumps, sidelines, and a band dance (taught by the senior cheerleaders).  Male candidates will be required to stunt in place of the girl’s band dance.
Tumbling is optional and results in bonus points based on skill level of tumbling performed. Tumbling skills will be performed for the GHS Cheer coaches prior to tryouts.

Transportation will be provided to Eisenhower Middle School for all Robert Goddard Middle School students.

All candidates should wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Hair should be pulled up away from the face. ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY IS ALLOWED!

Hey USD 265! Do you have a great picture of an EMS student, sports event, or other school related activity? Would you like to see your picture in the 2010 EMS yearbook? Well, now you can through the internet. The yearbook staff would like to invite students and parents to submit your photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or even students and their friends having fun, we’d like to see them. 

Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have through Josten’s new program called Imageshare, which allows the general public to submit digital pictures online for possible inclusion in the yearbook. We will be working on the production of a school wide talent show as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It is our first attempt, so we should learn a lot and hopefully have fun in the process.
