BEHAVIOR

  • Students are expected to follow directions when given, keep hands, feet and other objects to themselves, not to talk while the teacher is giving instructions.
  • During rehearsal time, students are expected to rehearse as this is the only time to receive help from the teacher to develope roles. Home rehearsal is expected to memorize lines.

ABSENTEEISM

If your student is absent, they may have missed the assignment given that day.  However, they may also have missed the explanations and lecture and examples. They have the same amount of time to turn in assignments as the days missed. During scene work, the rehearsal time that is missed not only involves the absentee but also the other people in the scene that are not able to react to that person's character. This is a participation class and absenteeism should try to be kept at a minimum as much as possible, for the greatest success.  Films and other special one day events will not be able to be made up.

LATE WORK

Work turned in 1 day late is 1/2 credit. 2 days late no credit. (This does not include excused absences.)
