From the Desk of Mr. Jilka...
Once again, this year has flown by!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our 2007-2008 PTO board:
Barbara Mitchell, Julie Carter, Mellisa Schwartz, Colleen Brink, Susan
DeLap, Mary Durbin, Nikki Miller, and Dana Pabst. They have worked extremely
hard this year to help the students and staff of EMS. This team is responsible
for the following accomplishments:

Funding student field trip activities

Purchasing classroom supplies for our staff members
-
Organizing lunch and dinner for our staff during conferences
-
Organizing the annual golf tournament fundraiser
-
Operating concession stands at athletic events and dances
-
Donating many hours of their personal time for our students and staff
On behalf of the PTO, we would also like to thank each of you that have
sent food items for our staff to enjoy during conferences, donated your
time and money for the benefit of our students, volunteered to assist our
teachers on field trips, and supported our fundraisers. This year could
not have been such a huge success without your support!
I would also like to take this opportunity to announce that this will
be my last year at Eisenhower Middle School. Next year, I will be taking
on a new role as an assistant principal at Goddard High School. That’s
right; your kids have been so enjoyable that I’ve decided to follow them
to high school! I hope that each of you have a safe and enjoyable summer.
