Goals + Motivation = SuccessOur goal at GMS is to present a wide ranging fitness based program and guide our students in the process of becoming physically active and healthy for a lifetime. This Month's Units
Both Mrs. Letts and Ms Mouse's classes will be introduced to several soccer lead up activities. These activities will allow all students to participate at one time. Students will be divided into numerous teams. Each team will rotate to play a different opposing team every five minutes. The focus of the activity will be placed on soccer skills and fitness. Brisket ball is a fast paced form of touch football. Possession of the ball changes frequently and all students are actively involved in moving the ball down the field by passing or running. Brisket ball is one of the favored activities. Fitness Relays, Aerobics, TaeBo, Line Dancing are all newly added activities to provide the students an opportunity to explore healthy lifetime activities. Obstacle Courses will provide the students with a wide range of physical challenges. Some of the challenges in the course will be zig-zag dribble, bean bag toss, scooter pull, shooting baskets, tire roll, and agility run.
