Cheerleading | Publications | Scholars' Bowl | Student Council Cheerleading - Sara Gotschalk, Sponsor Congratulations to the 2008-09 RGMS Cheerleaders and those 8th grade girls who made the 2008-2009 high school cheer squad. Super job, girls! Scholars' Bowl - Joyce Williams, Sponsor Student Council - Jenni Dinkel, Sponsor Publications (Yearbook & Newspaper) - Laena Esposti, Sponsor We are finally near the end! It has been a wonderful journey full of new experiences. This semester the staff visited the Kansas Scholastic Press Association Workshop for middle school students at Maize South Middle School and on May 1 they will visit the Wichita Eagle. Staff members will not only have the opportunity to see the press side of the newspaper business but will also get to meet and speak with an Eagle reporter. During May, in addition to writing articles for the final newspaper edition, students will begin brainstorming for the next yearbook. They will also produce an advertisement to promote cheese for Food Services. The final newspaper publication comes out the last week of school. The yearbooks are on the way and students will receive those at school on May 16 in time for the yearbook signing party. Autograph sheets will also be available for purchase on this day. If your student has not yet purchased a yearbook, he may still buy one for $25. The staff looks forward to celebrating together with a party to commemorate the publication of our yearbook, five issues of the student newspaper and daily announcement broadcasts.
