GODDARD DEBATE RESULTS 2004-2005 SEASON Congratulations to the GHS debate squad for an outstanding performance at the Valley Center Invitational debate tournament last weekend. In the Junior Varsity Division a Goddard team reached the final round and placed 2nd. Wish the members of the squad good luck as they travel to Shawnee Mission East, Newton, and Maize this weekend! Congratulations to the Goddard Debate squad for its performance at the Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Bluestem Invitational Debate Tournaments. In the Novice Division at Kapaun a Goddard team compiled a 4 win and 1 loss record and earned 9th place. Also at Kapaun in the Open Division a Goddard team compiled a 4 win 1 loss record and advanced to quarterfinals to place 4th. The squad’s combined record was also good for a 4th place finish in the sweepstakes competition. At Bluestem another Goddard team compiled a 4 win 1 loss record to place 6th.  On Friday and Saturday October 15th and 16th the Goddard Debate squad competed at the Wichita East Invitational Debate Tournament. In the novice division a Goddard team compiled a 4 win 1 loss record to place 10th. In the Varsity division another Goddard term reached the quarterfinal round and placed 4th.  At the Derby invitational debate tournament on October 1st and 2nd teams from the Goddard debate squad compiled 4 win and 1 loss records in the open division to place 9th and 10th. The following week a team from Goddard placed 10th in the open division at the Hutchinson invitational debate tournament. On September 17th and 18th the GHS debate squad opened its season at the Washburn Rural Invitational Debate Tournament. A team from Goddard placed 5th in the varsity open division.
