What is PTO?? Parent-Teacher Organization - Fostering a supportive relationship between parents, teachers and the community while working closely with the administration, all for the benefit of our students and betterment of our school. (Operates under the authority of the USD 265 Board of Education.) If you are unable to attend a PTO meeting and have signed up for activities on the Parent Involvement Form, please call Misty Schenck at 729-9031.

Throughout the year the parents, students and community have been so supportive of the PTO and its many fundraising activities. These activities provide the “extras” that go into the education of our children. No one realizes this more than the teachers and staff at Oak Street Elementary. Thank you for all that you do! Room Parents This year we are planning to do a little more for the GREAT TEACHERS at Oak Street during staff appreciation week. We would like to get the kids and parents involved in providing an unforgettable week of celebration! As you may recall in your room parent packet, there was a brief paragraph asking you to all be involved in the planning of this great event. In order to not leave any teachers out, please prepare to attend the planning meeting on April 14 at 6:30-8:00. Again it is essential that there is a representative from EVERY class here. If you are unable to attend, please try to find another parent from your child’s class that will attend for you. Thank you all in advance for helping make this year the best year for our teachers! Oak Street Elementary Party Guidelines And......Tasty, Healthy, Food Ideas Nutritious foods are encouraged when used as part of a social event in the schools. During the school day, schools should limit the use of food at celebrations that are not considered a healthy choice. Please plan on providing no more than 1 sugary snack at each school party.
