Book Orders
Occasionally I will be sending home book orders and other supplements sent to me from educational companies. Please do not feel you have to buy anything. Sometimes I will ask that you take time to fill out the form and send it back to school. This is very helpful because we receive free books and education materials for our classroom no matter if you choose to purchase the products. If you choose to order, please make checks or money orders payable to the company.
Money and Notes
Sometimes you will need to send money or notes to school with your child. Please put them in a sealed envelope with information on the outside. This is extremely helpful!
Birthdays
Your child’s birthday is a very special day. Celebrations are always welcome in our classroom. I would prefer that parties be held in the late afternoon. If this time does not work for you, I will gladly try to schedule a more suitable time. Parents are welcome to be a part of the celebration. Please check with me ahead of time about possible food allergies of class members and time and date of the party.
Classroom Parties
Three school-wide parties are held during the year: Halloween, Winter and Valentine’s Day. There are no Easter parties. No toy guns or other weapons will be allowed with Halloween costumes.
Lunch Visitors
If you plan to eat a school lunch with your child, please call the school by 9:30 a.m. so you can be added to the lunch count. If you will be bringing your child lunch, please let me know so that I do not include your child in the lunch count.
