USD 265 COVID-19 RESPONSE AND RESOURCES
Daily USD 265 Student and Staff Temperature Process
USD #265 will take temperatures of all students, staff, and visitors prior to entering a USD #265 facility. Any person who has a temperature of 99.6 will be allowed to sit and rest, inside, for 10-15 minutes before having their temperature rechecked. Any person with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, or who is displaying symptoms of COVID -19, regardless of their temperature, will be required to go home.
“Close Contact” Definition
The definition of an individual in close contact of a confirmed case is as follows, “a person is considered a close contact of a confirmed case if they were within 6 feet of the positive individual, with or without a mask, for 10 minutes or longer.” Those who are considered to be in close contact will not be allowed to attend school or school-related activities for 14 days starting with the last date of exposure with the confirmed positive individual.
Every Goddard Public Schools student will have the option to choose a 100% K-12 distance learning model that includes a fully-accredited curriculum called Edgenuity, instructed by Kansas certified teachers.
