While most of us were enjoying our weekend indoors, our amazing maintenance team was out in freezing temperatures, clearing snow from parking lots and sidewalks to make sure we could return safely today.
Their hard work often goes unnoticed, but it's the foundation that makes our school day possible. We literally couldn't function without them!

While most of the community was staying warm inside, this incredible maintenance team was outside doing the hard work that makes a safe return to school possible.
On Sunday, January 25th, and again early Monday morning, January 26th, the USD 265 Facilities, Maintenance & Operations staff were out across the district clearing snow from parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and entrances, ensuring school buildings are safe and accessible for students, staff, and families.
These moments from Clark Davidson Elementary School, Discovery Intermediate School, and Challenger Intermediate School are a snapshot of the pride, grit, and dedication behind the scenes. Snow storms do not stop this team from showing up, problem solving, and taking care of our schools.
Their work may happen before sunrise and behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by every student and staff member who walks through our doors. Thank you for going above and beyond for our #265Family!

To celebrate this collective achievement, we are hosting an All-School Pajama Day this Friday, January 16th. We want to congratulate all of our students for their hard work and for making our school such a positive place to learn. Please ensure that pajama choices are comfortable and appropriate for school and PE activities.

Cocoa cups in hand, marshmallow counts getting serious, and excitement buzzing through the halls ☕❄️Hot Cocoa Day was the perfect cozy pause before the break ahead.
Glow Run top earners understood the assignment… silly string, Mrs. Ebert! We even had a few special guests get in on the fun yesterday. Thanks to everyone who helped make Glow Run such a successful fundraiser.
What a fun weekend!
From lighting up Rogers Lane to gliding across the ice, CDS PTO had an incredible couple of days. Lights on Rogers Lane brought our community together in such a special way, and our Ice Skating Spirit Day at the Wichita Ice Center was a huge success full of smiles, face painting, Santa visits, and nonstop fun.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported our fundraisers, and helped make both events so memorable. We truly couldn’t do this without our amazing families and community!
Visit the Rogers Lane Light Show featuring hours of popular music set to an incredible light show. CDS PTO will be handing out treats Friday from 6-9PM. Any donations made on December 12 will directly benefit CDS.
CDS PTO came around to spoil staff today and spread some holiday cheer!
The CDS ice-skating spirit day is tomorrow from 12-4 at Wichita Ice! Tickets are just $10, including skates, and can be purchased with cash or Venmo when you arrive.
