Nonresident Student Application & Information
Please Note:
If you are a family that resides OUTSIDE of the USD 265 boundaries (CLICK HERE to check), but would like to apply for your child(ren) to attend Goddard Public Schools through the Nonresident Student Application, please keep in mind that the Nonresident Student Application will ONLY be available for submission between the dates of Dec. 18th, 2025 and June 15th, 2026 in order to be considered for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
The district determines open capacity at each school and grade level, and the number of open seats available to nonresident students will be made available no later than June 1st, 2026.
Applicants will not be notified regarding the status of their application until AFTER June 15th, 2026.
All applicants that submit fully complete and accurate applications for nonresident attendance, should receive communication from the district regarding the status of their applications by/before July 15th, 2026.
Please additionally keep in mind that in order to be considered complete, applications MUST include a Records Request form (and all required educational records) completed by the previous school district.
An important distinction to make is that nonresident students are permitted to continue enrollment and attendance in the district unless such student is no longer deemed to be in good standing. Parents/guardians are not required to resubmit a new application each school year, once a student is accepted and participates in continuous enrollment (does not un-enroll at any time).
Additionally, nonresident students are not provided with transportation to/from school, unless the district is otherwise required to do so by state and/or federal laws.
Families that live INSIDE the USD 265 boundaries, cannot apply through the nonresident student application in an attempt to select the school of their choice for their child(ren) to attend. Each student's building assignment is determined by their residential address. Learn more here: https://www.goddardusd.com/o/gps/page/school-boundaries.
