“Education is a shared responsibility.” - USD 265 Strategic Plan

This statement rings especially true when taking into consideration the time and talent that dedicated parents and guardians across the school district contribute to the overall student success of our #265Family. From volunteering on PTO fundraiser nights, to helping decorate the hallways with student art, or helping hand out programs at talent shows or music concerts. Goddard Public School families are a source of strength across the whole community.

Parents like Darren Mullen, who stays busy as a photographer when he’s not working shifts as a firefighter, contribute in a multitude of ways. And do so in order to share the good work done in our school communities and increase student success across the district. As the Eisenhower High School (EHS) girls soccer team swept through the 5A Regional Championship, Mullen was right there to capture all the magic. The EHS girls soccer team held an almost perfect shutout season, with a final record of 18 wins, 1 loss, and no ties. They came out on top at the start of the playoff season with a 4-0 win defeating Hays for the Regional Title, before losing to Kapaun Mt. Carmel in the 5A Quarterfinals. While it wasn’t the outcome the team was hoping for, it does wrap an absolutely phenomenal season with unparalleled teamwork and dedication.

Next year, alongside the coaches and other parents, you’ll likely find Mullen - camera in hand, and ready to continue serving his school community with professional grade photography. From student athletes, to the dedicated staff, to grandparents, parents and guardians - our students need the support of everyone in our community in order to truly thrive. THANK YOU to everyone who helps contribute to the success of each and every student (and student athlete) in our #265Family!
