New Day School Principal

At the Board of Education (BOE) meeting on Monday, Jan. 26th, 2026, the USD 265 BOE approved the appointment of Reanne Kuhnke as the new principal of the Endeavor Achievement Center (Special Education Day School) and the Transition to Independence, Employment, and Success (T.I.E.S.) program. The Goddard Special Education Cooperative, which serves the communities of Goddard, Clearwater, Cheney, and Conway Springs, provides special education and related services to students with disabilities (ages 3 - 21).

Students with significant complex needs are currently served through special day school programming, which is currently housed in Mount Hope. In order to better support these students, with far closer proximity to their home communities, the Goddard Special Education Cooperative will be reconstructing a northern piece of Challenger Intermediate School (325 N. Walnut St. Goddard, KS 67052) to become the Endeavor Achievement Center.

Additionally, students with exceptionalities that age out of high-school level programming, have the opportunity to qualify for the T.I.E.S. program - a specialized, post-high school initiative for young adults (ages 18 - 21) with special needs that focuses on building vocational skills, learning financial literacy, and independent living skills.

Kuhnke has been in education for 14 years and brings a wealth of experience that spans all grade levels in special education and day school settings. Most recently, she has been serving as a Coaching Specialist for the South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative, supporting teachers and students to reach their fullest potential. Prior to that, she served as a special education teacher in the Maize School District. She has a strong background in special education, student development, and leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education as a Learning and Behavior Specialist from Illinois State University, a Master of Science in Special Education Transition and additional certification in Building Leadership from the University of Kansas.

Reanne stated “I am honored to serve the Goddard School District and excited to help bring the day school back home to our district community and expand on the already amazing Transition to Independence, Employment, and Success (T.I.E.S.) program. I am committed to working alongside staff, families, and students to ensure this transition feels supported and collaborative. I am passionate about building a positive, inclusive culture where every student and educator feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow."
